Stage Makeup Summer Camp - Middle age for Annie jr.
Incoming 4th-10th Graders

June 1, 10:00am-12:00pm (Saturday)

Our Musical Theatre Performance Camp will feature MTI’s Annie Jr! This means campers will play EVERY role in this famous musical so we need to learn some makeup tips and tricks. Join Ms. Vivian for a stage makeup tutorial to make your teen face into a middle age face! Those who excel at this camp will be invited to be our makeup artists for the production of Annie Jr if they are available (June 20-22 for tech and performances).

Not available for the show? No worries! You still get a makeup kit to call your own ($28 value) and can learn the techniques to use in a future production!

Our Musical Theatre Performance Camp will feature MTI’s Annie Jr! Campers in our Technical Theatre Summer Camp will help prepare for our full musical production by assembling costumes, sets, and props for the musical. Students will gain experience in all areas of technical theatre and will have an opportunity to join our technical crew for the performance dates on June 21 & 22 if they are available. Learn sewing, crafting, painting and more! Great resume builder! All experience levels welcome!

Auditioning for Annie Jr? You can still join us to build your own costumes and sets!

Musical Theatre Performance Summer Camp - Annie jr.

This 2-week musical theatre camp will allow all 25 campers to star in the show which will perform Friday, June 21st (7:00pm) and twice on Saturday, June 22nd (1:00pm & 6:00pm). Campers will sing, dance, and act to stage this popular musical from MTI. While all campers will have a speaking role, auditions are required to place each camper. Auditions will be help on May 3rd. Audition materials will be EMAILED starting April 26th.

All experience levels are welcome as we will ensure there is a part just right for you to learn!

*Camp registration includes all costume fees, a speaking role in the play, and a camp t-shirt. Some costume materials from home may be required.
**Campers will bring their OWN lunch.

Do you wish you were old enough to join our 2-week musical theatre camp? Well our JR ENSEMBLE is a great way to get started with our performing groups! Spend 2 Saturdays learning 2 songs and choreography that will be performed with our Annie Jr cast on June 21 & 22. You will get a chance to rehearse during our tech days on June 20 and 21. Campers will be able to have a costume and perform in 3 shows for family and friends. Auditions are NOT required for this group of campers.

All experience levels are welcome as we will ensure there is a part just right for you to learn!

Each of these camps stands alone so choose one or both to practice your playWRITING skills! This is a great way to work on your writing skills and get a taste for our semester long Playmakers class that will return in Fall 2024!

A SUPER SILLY SATURDAY - Students will create a character by thinking of an object around the house that has come to life. They will write a monologue (a one person speech in a play) that helps them get to the heart of this character while expressing their creativity in one silly Saturday! Students will get a chance to read their monologues aloud to classmates and bring home their writing that day to share with family and friends.

ROBOTS INVADE! - Students will be given a short scene starter so they have a chance to create their own adventure. Writing and acting games will help them get into the mind of a few characters in their scene so they learn to write with different points of view and develop differing voices for differing characters. Students will get a chance to read their scenes with classmates to hear their own words aloud from different voices. One might even be chosen for a short small play at Interact this Fall 2024!

No experience needed, just a love of writing!

PUPPET THEATRE CAMP (Crafting & Acting)
Incoming K-3rd

July 8-11 (Mon-Thurs), 1:00-4:00pm

This 4-day camp will include CRAFTS and ACTING skills. This is a great way for new actors to try their voice without fully being onstage. The acting skills needed for puppetry help with creativtiy, character creation, and using your body to match your voice. This is also a great way for a young artist to learn more about theatre! Campers will make their OWN PUPPET CHARACTER to use in improv/creative PERFORMANCE PLAY. Parents are encouraged to attend the last day for a brief share out of what has been learned.

No experience needed.

Christmas in July (acting - mini musical performance)

Join us for a Christmas in July mini-musical for our youngest performers! Campers will use the 4 days to stage a short Christmas musical to perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Approximate show run time: 15 minutes.

ART CAMP (Painting, drawing, sculpting)
Incoming 4th-8th

July 15-18 (Mon-Thurs), 1:00pm-4:00pm

This 4-day camp will include a combination of art skills including painting, drawing, and sculpting. By the end of the 4 days, campers will come home with 2 full paintings in addition to multiple art skills! Please list any food allergies when registering as we will provide a nut-free snack each day.
